Can't get to the farm but would love to help our rescued animals? Well now you can! For a small Automatic Payment of only $5 per week, you can really help make a difference, and help with their care costs. So many children have fallen in love with our animals here, and many parents have asked if we set up sponsorship so their children can keep in touch, and be involved with their favourite animal. WHAT DO YOU GET FOR YOUR SPONSORSHIP? We will send you a monthly newsletter, along with exclusive photos of 'your' chosen sponsored animal and updates of how they have been doing, or what antics they have been up to. For animals like our minis, or horses you also get FREE rides when our petting farm is open, and also throughout the year have access to visiting rights by mutual appointment. This means even if the petting farm is closed, but you have a weekend free, we can arrange access for our sponsors to come visit their animal, give them lots of pats and cuddles, and take photos if they wish. It's a great way to keep in touch with the animal you are helping, and the animals get all year round visits. We will also be sending our sponsors an exclusive keyring and pen, and later in the year a free 'LARA' calendar.
BETTY: Betty is a 'mini' a miniature pony. She is about 6yrs old, and LOVES to give pony rides. Betty came to us with her bestie Wilma, and are now permanent residents in our Sanctuary. Betty loves meeting visitors, especially children, and is totally tame and pettable. Betty needs a new Winter cover, and we are hoping soon to build a shelter in every paddock for the minis to walk in so we can move them around the paddocks from their current shelter. Betty needs also regular drenching for worms, and over Winter needs 'hard feed' such as hay, and nuts, and mineral blocks for good health, and farrier visits to trim her feet.
If you would like to Sponsor Betty, you can for just $5 per week! Such a small amount will go a long way to helping provide all she needs. Thank you. Sponsor to LARA Animal Rescue 06-0377-0098044-00 Ref 'Betty'. Thank you
WILMA: Wilma is a 'mini' a miniature pony. She is about 5yrs old, and LOVES to give pony rides. Wilma came to us with her bestie Betty and follows Betty everywhere. They are now permanent residents in our Sanctuary. Wilma too loves meeting visitors, especially children, and is totally tame and pettable. Wilma also needs a new Winter cover, and we are hoping soon to build a shelter in every paddock for the minis to walk in so we can move them around the paddocks from their current shelter. Wilma needs also regular drenching for worms, and over Winter needs 'hard feed' such as hay, and nuts, and mineral blocks for good health, and farrier visits to trim her feet.

BRAVEHEART - dog attack victim. When Braveheart came to us in January 2016 for rehoming, he arrived many hours late and covered in blood. Unfortunately for him, the lady trying to 'save' him from a life of being tethered, put him in her car with her Staffy X dog. We got him vetted, surgically desexed, and his abscesses that came up lanced and removed. His nasal cavity punctured so badly he blew bubbles of blood when breathing. Braveheart now resides here at the farm. He has suffered enough at the hands of this inexperienced 'goat rescue' so is not for rehoming. Braveheart is a sweet gentle boy, loves cuddles, and his bites and punctures are now completely healed. Sponsor to LARA Animal Rescue 06-0377-0098044-00 Ref 'Goat'. Thank you
EDDIE - Ex SPCA goat. When Spca rescued Eddie, they found him with blood down his neck. He had been left as a kid with a collar on which as Eddie grew, had cut down to the bone. Eddie arrived during the 'big dry', so we had to spray constantly to ward off fly strike on his injury. Now completely healed, and able to wear a loose collar, Eddie is a permanent resident here. A Boar X Saanen, Eddie is a sweet and gentle wether (desexed male goat). Sponsor to LARA Animal Rescue 06-0377-0098044-00 Ref 'Goat'. Thank you
PIMMS#1 When Pimms No1, was young he broke his leg. A pure accident that occured while leaping off a big electric reel, used for goats to play on. Being a growing boy he had to have two plasters on his leg, one every 3 weeks to allow for growth. Pimms came in as a totally wild feral goat. No one wanted this bigger boy, with horns already growing. Despite his stunning good looks, and revelations that all goats will eventually grow horns, still he was overlooked for smaller cute babies. We worked with him every day and tamed him down. No longer wild, Pimms No1 now lives here permanently, wethered (desexed male) and his leg healed beautifully. He is a real sook and a winner with visitors, especially children who love to pet the goats. Sponsor $5 per week to LARA Animal Rescue 06-0377-0098044-00 Ref 'Goat' to help with his upkeep'. Thank you
